Update: Good Intentions and all that

I've had a lot of good intentions to add more material to the blog on UK tax issues, but then again I can also see there's a need for something a bit more formal, which explains a particular topic and then sets out in the form of worksheets all the hoops you have to jump through to get to an answer for your tax return that's acceptable to HMRC.

What I'm up to at the moment is planning a series of eBooks (pdf form) that will enable the small crafting business to keep the required records in a way that makes it easy to monitor how their business is doing AND provide the figures needed for the tax return.

I'm not sure when they'll be released, nor which topics they'll cover - they'll be for sale on Etsy and also on my own website.

If you think there's particular areas that would be good to be covered, let me know in the comments (or via email toothillmedley [at] gmail [dot] com) and I'll see what I can do.

The blog will then play a supportive role with articles on wider issues that relate to the eBooks but won't cover the same material.  I'm undecided as to whether the current blog posts will remain - so if you think they might be useful to you going forwards, I suggest you save them - I may well delete some of them without prior notice depending on how the eBooks turn out.

In case you're wondering where I got with the whole eBooks thing - I haven't abandoned it, I just decided to wait until the new rules for the new simplified Cash Accounting had been formalised.

I'm still waiting! And they're still making changes to them!
